West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil prices edged lower on Friday during early European trading hours, extending the previous session’s weakness. WTI was last seen trading at $61.33 per barrel, down from Thursday’s close of $61.60.
Brent crude follows WTI lower
Similarly, Brent crude futures slipped, trading around $65.04 per barrel, compared with the previous day’s close of $65.29. The decline in both benchmarks reflects a cautious tone in energy markets as traders assess global demand prospects and geopolitical risks ahead of the weekend.
